Use this command to install MeshLab:
winget install --id=CNRISTI.MeshLab -e

MeshLab is an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of unstructured large 3D triangular meshes. It is aimed to help the processing of the typical not-so-small unstructured models arising in 3D scanning, providing a set of tools for editing, cleaning, healing, inspecting, rendering and converting this kind of meshes. MeshLab is mostly based on the open source C++ mesh processing library VCGlib developed at the Visual Computing Lab of ISTI - CNR. VCG can be used as a stand-alone large-scale automated mesh processing pipeline, while MeshLab makes it easy to experiment with its algorithms interactively. MeshLab is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

MeshLab is an open-source, portable, and extensible system designed for the processing, editing, and analysis of large 3D triangular meshes. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools to handle raw data from 3D scanning devices and prepare models for applications such as visualization, 3D printing, and further development.

Key Features:

  • Editing & Cleaning: Tools for repairing, healing, and cleaning noisy or incomplete meshes.
  • Rendering & Texturing: Capabilities for visualizing and enhancing mesh appearance with textures.
  • File Conversion: Support for converting between various 3D file formats, including STL, OBJ, PLY, and more.
  • Large-Scale Processing: Designed to handle the typical not-so-small models common in 3D scanning workflows.
  • Extensibility: An open architecture that allows integration of custom plugins and filters.

Audience & Benefit:

Ideal for researchers, engineers, and professionals in fields such as 3D scanning, CAD, and additive manufacturing. MeshLab enables users to efficiently process raw scan data into high-quality, ready-to-use models, improving productivity and model accuracy.

Available for installation via winget on supported platforms.
