Diffoniq (formerly WDiff32) compares files, folders and archives on Windows. - Compare two files side by side (text or binary), two folders, or two archives — ZIP, tar and other common archive formats, including archives nested inside archives, are browsed and compared like folders. - Folder comparison detects renamed and moved files, hashes content in parallel, and keeps a persistent hash cache so repeat comparisons finish much faster than the first run. - Synchronize folders from the GUI or the /sync command line (dry-run by default, deletions go to the Recycle Bin where Windows offers one — on network locations they are permanent and are reported as such), suitable for scheduled tasks. - Export a comparison report as self-contained HTML, plain text or JSON from the GUI or the /report command line. Unresolved same-size pairs are reported as unverified, never as identical. - Compare PDF, Office and other non-text formats as text through configurable external converters (read/compare only). - Use it as the diff viewer for git, TortoiseGit, TortoiseSVN, Total Commander, WinSCP and JetBrains IDEs; a --read-only mode protects temporary files created by those hosts. - Let an AI assistant (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Copilot in VS Code) compare folders, archives and files through the built-in MCP server (DiffoniqC.exe /mcp): three read-only tools, nothing on disk is changed. Diffoniq is a fully functional 30-day evaluation until a licence is imported. Licences are a one-time purchase (single-user and site tiers, minor updates free within 2.x). Registered WDiff32 users upgrade to 2.0 free of charge.
