Transit Transit AI Software Inc.
winget install --id=TransitAISoftware.Transit -e Transit is a cross-platform SSH client for network engineers with an embedded AI agent built for investigation rather than change. The agent can read session scrollback and propose commands, but it cannot run a command you have not permitted. How a proposed command is checked depends on the target. For supported network vendors, each command is first checked against that vendor's read-only permit list and then shown to you for approval. For those vendors you may optionally use an "always allow" shortcut that lets commands matching a pattern you choose run without a prompt for the rest of the current chat; it applies only to commands that already pass the permit list, is held in memory only, and is discarded when the chat closes. Generic Linux/Unix hosts and user-defined custom vendors have no permit list, so every proposed command must be inspected and approved individually, and the "always allow" shortcut is not available for them. Device output passes through a redaction filter before it reaches the model, and the agent has no code path to a stored credential.
