DX Manager is an independent utility built around scrcpy and ADB. On Windows it manages a Samsung DeX virtual display and up to three additional single-app windows for each connected Galaxy phone. Multiple phones keep independent sessions, settings and transfers.
It began as personal Batch/CMD and AutoHotkey tools and became a C# desktop application. It is designed for everyday DeX use, including Windows 7 and PCs without Internet access.
Actual Windows 2.5.0 capture with a Galaxy S26 Ultra. Single-window mode is also supported.

Samsung DeX support on the phone is required. Testing includes Android 16 / One UI 8.x; the maintainer also confirmed Galaxy S26 Ultra / Android 17 / One UI 9 operation. Older firmware may show a black DeX window; individual apps can restrict secondary displays. See the compatibility FAQ.

Starting with Windows 2.5.0, the ZIP name is fixed and the folder inside identifies the version:

DXManager.exe. On first launch, read the notice, tick its acknowledgement box and confirm.The main window's X hides it to the tray. Use tray Exit or Left Alt+F8 for a full exit. Windows 7 may need .NET Framework 4.6.2 and the updates required by legacy ADB. Local USB/LAN operation needs no Internet after setup.
For an upgrade, exit the old copy and preserve your personal configuration as described in Updating an existing installation. Do not replace only the EXE.

The newest Windows release must contain exactly DX-Manager-win-x64.zip.
Links containing an older tag or versioned filename remain tied to that older file.
Third-party mirrors may lag; compare their version with the official release page.
The optional Android app is included at tools/companion/DX-Companion.apk and is not installed automatically.
Open Settings > Companion, select the phone, then install/update it and grant cleanup permission.
DX Manager verifies the official APK identity, version, hash and certificate.
Existing users should update to 2.1.6 for the current recovery/notification behavior.
Companion provides recovery controls, a Quick Settings tile/widget and phone-to-PC sharing. Session protection can start as soon as DX Manager connects, even before DeX runs. After the PC link is lost, protection stops promptly if virtual-display and Stay awake settings are verified clean. Remaining recovery work follows the configured disconnect policy.

Automatic checks are silent when no update is available or the network is unavailable. A new version appears in a lower-right nonmodal banner, or a Windows tray notification while hidden. The banner stays until dismissed; its GitHub button opens the release page. A cached notice can remain offline. Use Settings > About > Check for updates for a manual result.
Local What's new notes after an upgrade are separate from online checks and first-run safety consent. They use no Internet. See the update FAQ.

120 FPS requires the phone screen on; manually turning it off can reduce FPS.
The public repository also has a separate .NET 8 macOS TUI/CLI implementation, targeting macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon and Intel. Follow the macOS guide for its own runtime/build status. The Windows 2.5.0 ZIP is not a Mac application. At the 2026-10-24 documentation review, published releases contained Windows assets and no published Mac ZIP. Windows 2.5.0 features/test counts do not describe macOS validation.
Windows source includes the matching official Companion source and signed APK. The canonical shared component remains the single development source; public checkouts use the included release snapshot. See Building. 복구 버튼, 빠른 설정 타일·위젯과 휴대폰→PC 공유를 제공합니다. PC에서 휴대폰을 인식하면 DeX 실행 전에도 세션 보호 알림이 나올 수 있습니다. PC 연결이 끊기고 가상 화면·잠자기 방지가 정리됐음을 확인하면 감시를 중단하며, 복구할 항목이 남아 있으면 설정된 연결 해제 정책을 유지합니다.

자동 확인에서 새 버전이 없거나 오프라인이면 안내창을 띄우지 않습니다. 새 버전이 있으면 메인 오른쪽 아래 배너, 트레이 상태이면 Windows 알림으로 안내합니다. 배너는 직접 닫을 때까지 유지되며 GitHub 버튼으로 릴리스 페이지를 엽니다. 캐시된 새 버전 안내는 오프라인에서도 남을 수 있습니다. 직접 확인은 설정 > 정보 > 업데이트 확인입니다.
업데이트 후의 로컬 변경사항 안내는 온라인 확인·첫 실행 안전 동의와 별개이며 인터넷을 쓰지 않습니다. 업데이트 FAQ에서 자세히 설명합니다.

120 FPS에서는 휴대폰 화면을 켜두어야 하며 직접 끄면 FPS가 낮아질 수 있습니다.
공개 저장소에는 macOS 14 이상, Apple Silicon·Intel을 대상으로 한 별도의 .NET 8 TUI/CLI 구현도 있습니다. 그 버전·실행 환경·빌드 상태는 macOS 가이드를 따릅니다. Windows 2.5.0 ZIP은 Mac 프로그램이 아닙니다. 2026-10-24 문서 확인 시 공개 릴리스에는 Windows 파일만 있었으며 공개된 Mac ZIP은 확인되지 않았습니다. Windows 기능·테스트 수를 macOS 검증 결과로 적용하지 않습니다.
공개 저장소에는 해당 버전의 정식 Companion 소스와 서명 APK도 포함합니다. 개발 원본은 공용 폴더 한곳에서 유지하며 공개 소스 빌드는 동봉 릴리스 스냅샷을 사용합니다. 빌드 안내를 확인하세요. DX Manager는 MIT 라이선스이며 scrcpy·라이브러리·폰트·Fluent 아이콘의 라이선스는 제3자 안내에 보존합니다. maze가 독립 개발하며 삼성전자·Genymobile과 제휴·후원·보증 관계가 없습니다. Samsung과 Samsung DeX는 삼성전자의 상표입니다.
