cc-switch-remote is built on top of cc-switch (provider management and local routing) and adds share-id networking: multiple clients form a P2P network through a share id, routing requests from local CLIs such as Claude Code and Codex to other members' machines to consume the provider quota they share. Requests are always issued by the lender's own machine against the upstream provider (an outbound-identity model), so the provider only ever sees the lender's machine and credentials, and the consumer's API key never leaves the consumer's machine. The desktop client connects to the official relay (tokentap.top) by default and works out of the box, while a self-hostable signaling/relay server is provided for advanced users.
