RidoGuard is a desktop application for reviewing and changing Windows privacy, security and performance settings from one place. It covers telemetry and diagnostic data settings, Windows services, startup entries and scheduled tasks, removal and restore of preinstalled Store apps, per-application firewall and network permissions, a hosts file editor, and ready-made performance and convenience profiles. A hardening scanner reports on Defender, Firewall, UAC, BitLocker and Secure Boot state, and the current posture can be exported as a PDF report. Every toggle carries a plain-English explanation of what it changes. Nothing is applied until a change summary has been shown. Before applying, RidoGuard asks Windows for a restore point and backs up the registry keys it touches. Applying a profile, removing preinstalled apps and changing service profiles are written to an audit log and to the Windows Application event log, and can be undone with the command line rollback. A command line mode is available for unattended use. RidoGuard has no account and collects no telemetry or analytics. It checks GitHub for a newer release when it starts. Any other network activity happens only when a feature that needs it is used, such as installing an application through winget. It requires administrator rights to edit system settings, services and firewall rules. Builds are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows an unknown publisher warning on first run.
